VINTAGE RIMS – New Zealand – Wire Wheel Specialists

The manufacture of wheel rims was started in 1989 when the owner of the company was looking for rims for his own restorations. This has developed into a specialised rim making division.

All rims are cold roll formed on rotary rollformers in the traditional manner. This maintains a constant grain structure and material thickness for strength.

The steel in the original rims have been tested for its metallurgic properties and found to have a similar carbon content to the modern steel equivalent used in the manufacture of our rims.

We are recognised as the worlds leading manufacturer of Beaded Edge, Rolled Edge, Lockring and Plain Split Rims.

We continue our research and development program into the different types, sizes and rims to meet market requirements.
