The Classic Italian Motorcycle Association of Australia is dedicated to the needs of owners of older Italian motorcycles (and scooters) including those marques that are no longer in production or imported to Australia. The aims of CIMAA are to:

foster the preservation and restoration of classic Italian motorcycles
provide a point of contact between owners
conduct social events for members
provide Club Permit Scheme registration

While there are single-marque motorcycle and scooter clubs which provide similar benefits, CIMAA is the club for people who own more than one brand of motorcycle and a cosmopolitan attitude.

Our interest is Italian Motorcycles, but we support your interest in other motorcycles!

You do not need to own an Italian motorcycle to join CIMAA, therefore our Club Permit scheme is applicable to any eligible motorcycle or scooter. However, our club is only active in Victoria and NSW at this time.

NSW Membership also entitles you to their Moto d’Epoca newsletter, which is published quarterly and posted to every member. The newsletter contains the upcoming events, local Italian motorcycle news, members’ articles, For Sale/Wanted advertisements and more.

During the 1990s Peter Bradley in NSW and Ian Barnes in Victoria were independently gathering names of Moto Morini owners with a view to starting a club. It was inevitable that sooner or later they would stumble across each other. The result was the formation of The Classic Italian Motorcycle Association of Australia (CIMAA). There are in reality two separate organizations, The Classic Italian Motorcycle Association of Australia (Vic) Inc. and The Classic Italian Motorcycle Association of Australia (NSW) Inc.

CIMAA have been associated with the Victorian Festival of Italian Motorcycles (FOIM) and the NSW Motori d’Italia events for many years.
