The easiest way to join MCI is to register your details with us using the website registration, once you have completed the registration form you can log in to our members section and submit your membership request.

You can also join on any one of our race dates – except New Zealand Grand Prix (NZGP) & Nationals Championship Race Meeting Dates (See Calendar) – ask for our Club Secretary or President.

Why do you need to join MCI?
You need to be a member of a affiliated club to “Motorcycling New Zealand” to hold a New Zealand racing licence. Which we are.

What is the cost to join?
The current cost of membership is $40.00 (NZD) annually, $30.00 if you join on a “have a go day” and ride. Family membership discounts are7nj available. How do I get a competition Licence?

Advanced Rider Training Days

Over time the Motorcycling Canterbury Club has found a need to introduce new riders to the sport by holding “Advanced Rider Training Days “. These days give the street rider the opportunity to experience the racetrack environment, which permits the freedom of speed only limited by the ability of the rider. The “Advanced Rider Training Day” is open to anyone wishing to try out the sport.

All you need is a motorcycle, a full face helmet, leather riding gear (one piece or zip together) and a willingness to try something exciting.
You DO NOT need a motorcycle road license.
You DO NEED a motorcycle that is in good general and safe condition.
We can show you correct cornering techniques, that will allow you to ride faster and safer, so you can get the most out of your motorcycle in the place where it is the safest place to do so, THE RACE TRACK!
